Day Hike - The Graves

Well this morning I took a quick hike out into the mountains behind our apartment. There is a road that shoots straight up into the hillsides and spits you into a cemetery area. Fortunately you can walk right through that area and move on to more inviting areas like the pig farm and beetle nut groves.

I believe this is some kind of grave guardian...he has a lot of brother statues that help guard the other grave sites.

One of the better maintained family grave sites. Don't worry, there's room for the whole family :)

There are lots of these little Buddhist temple shrines. This one is along side the mountain road I was exploring.

I wonder if he is poisonous? No - I wonder how poisonous he is...was.
