XingFu - School in the Making

Life is great as always. And boy isn't it nice to be alive.

Recently I was asked to transfer to a new school, XingFu. I will be working out there in March - and boy am I excited.

Just yesterday there was an "opening" ceremony for the school, here are some pictures from that event.

(Remember just click on an image to see it nice and big)
Robert, the Governor, the Architect, and friends.

The Celebration Committee

The Governor gave a speech. It was probably pretty touching (I need to work on Chinese).

The last major structural beam being put into place.

The visionaries for this school and program.

I got my photo with the governor :)

The welcoming arch!

An exterior shot of the dance studio.

On the left is the new school and on the right is the old school, which will be the "sister" school to XingFu.

Cafe and library combo.

The library wall part of the cafe/library room.

Pottery Studio.

I forget what room this is, but it looks nice :)

This is one of the classrooms. They are so nice and roomy and get lots of natural light.

The dance studio.

Hallway. Rooms on the left and open views on the right.

This school has lots of views, lots of great lighting, and a beautiful structure.

This is the same room as below, but this is where the "moderators" sleep.

This is a dormitory for the campers. It is like one really long bed so all the kids sleep right next to each other (bet it would make for some fun Thursday night pillow fights).

This is the Cafeteria. All of the small squares on the wall will have pictures on one side and they can be turned to show the English word on the other side! So Cool!

On the right is the Architect
